Ours just died. :(
And this is an appliance that we use multiple times on a daily basis. So it needs to get replaced TODAY (as in, before lunch!).
Fortunately, I have a Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupon. :D
We use ours for everything from toast/bagels/English muffins to pizza, chicken nuggets, tots...
So... tell me about your toaster oven!

I have an older version of this http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-CTO6301-Stainless-Steel-Convection/dp/B000PSW8TI

I LOVE it. It is the most used appliance in our kitchen by far. I bought it at a Black and Decker outlet for $60ish. I love it so much, I rarely use the oven on my stove. I was concerned when I bought it that I should have gone with a more expensive Cuisinart or Delonghi but I have absolutely no regrets.

Recently got the Kitchen Aid which has a DOUBLE rack - - and have to say i LOVE it!!! It's just a little taller - - but now i can fit enough of a MEAL in it. FOr example - fits 2 small pizzas, or can do fish sticks on one tray, fries on another AT THE SAME TIME! (OK, not the best meals - but stuff my kids will eat!).

I've been through QUITE a few toaster ovens - and have to say i'll never go back to a single rack one again.... now a new requirement for me!

Been using it about 2 months with no problems - - and i think i paid around $99 at a bloomingdales sale.

It's the best. We pretty much use it for every meal. I have cooked pies, quiche, a whole chicken and everything else in there. I don't have a double oven and pretty much use the Breville as my second oven. It preheats in a jiffy and doesn't make the whole kitchen hot, so a perfect oven for summer use too.

LOVE my Breville! Used the 20% off coupon at Bed, Bath & Beyond too.

Does the breville get very hot on the top/sides? We have an older black & decker and while it's pretty mediocre in general, I really like that it's insulated so the top & sides don't get very hot.

We have the compact version of the Breville Smart Oven http://www.amazon.com/Breville-BOV650XL-Compact-4-Slice-Element/dp/B00357YS3A and purchased an optional accessory for it to keep the top from getting too hot http://www.amazon.com/Breville-Bamboo-Cutting-Board-Serving/dp/B003LYZZ8Y/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1325179304&sr=1-1 I know that Breville also makes a larger version of this bamboo board for the full version of the Smart Oven.

Oh, that is brilliant. Does anyone have the just toaster version? http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/breville-mini-toaster-oven/?pkey=ctoasters-ovens (which is almost the same size as the compact anyway, so not really small).

I have the Breville Compact oven and LOVE it. I had a black and decker before and used it occasionally, but we use the Breville all the time. IT does get hot on the top, but like pp I got the bambo cutting board and it's been great.

I'll throw out the PSA that a lot of these toaster ovens have a Teflon interior, if that matters to you. We went with a Hamilton Beach to avoid that and it's been fine. I believe it was favorably rated by ATK.

Ok, I got the Breville Smart Oven, and just plugged it in and did the whole "pre-use" heat up...
High Holy HOT damn!!! That sucker gets HOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT! The top is totally untouchable, as is the left side. I love the way it looks, but holy schnoiky, it's HOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!
I don't know if I'm going to be able to deal with the hotness...

I just picked up one of these from Bed Bath and Beyond. The larger size version. Let me know what you think ultimately. Haven't opened and set it up yet. Wondering if it is a keeper.

We have the version that you linked to. We love it! We have a convection/microwave that we can use if we want to cook something larger but don't want to use the regular oven, so we wanted something small. This is perfect! Plus, we compared this size to the next size up and the cooking area isn't all that different. We can leave it out on the counter and it doesn't overwhelm the space.

For those who've posted recommendations, anyone have on that stays somewhat cool to the touch on the outside? With three kids this is a big consideration of mine and I'm having a hard time figuring out which ones stay cool.

Aishe, which Hamilton Beach do you have? Do all HB toaster oven not have Teflon interior?

Thanks.

This is the one we have.

Here's the newer version. It looks like they've done a slight redesign.

http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-31197-Countertop-Convection/dp/B0002HDWNS/

Note that it's quite large. I basically use it as a second oven. I don't know if other HB toaster ovens have nonstick interior. I think you just need to read the specs carefully. I found that there were not a lot of options, unless you just want something extremely basic. (I would have been happy to do that, but I read too many reviews about toaster ovens catching on fire!)

I have a Kitchen Aid one from Costco and I can tell you NOT to get that one. Its broken now, but I feel bad returning it since its a mess. The timer broke. The thing takes FOREVER to toast! Hate it!

Thank you Aishe. Wow, yes, that is one big one, a serious toaster oven :-)

Thank you for the warning Khalloc. I was thinking about going to Costco and looking around. I'll remember not to get the Kitchen Aid from there then.

Just got the Breville Smart oven and it's the bomb. I was a little miffed about the odor on the initial " before you use do this" step (hindsight...should have done it in the garage) but so far I love it. Baked muffins and then bisquick/ranch tenders in it right away...yum.

Highly recommend if you have the space!
