Is this a new facebook thing?

Just starting today, any time any of my friends comment on a picture (of someone I don't know) or like something, it shows up in my feed. I don't know the original poster. How do I get rid of that? I see that I can "unsubcribe from X's likes and comments" but do I really have to do that separately for every friend?

And related, can I keep my pictures, etc from showing up on someone else's feed (that I don't know) if a friend of mine comments on it?

Your picture privacy settings should hold true still. If they're set at friends-only, I don't think it will show.

Yes, I think we have to set subscribe details separately for each friend. :( Grrrr.
