I took DS2 to the dermatologist for a rash we haven't been able to get rid of. He gave us some medication and it looks like it's clearing up. He recommended we switch from California Baby to Cetaphil for soap. We also use it as a shampoo so I'm looking for recs for a replacement shampoo. TIA

We use Suave for kids. Oddly enough, it is the only one that doesn't make dd break out.

I use Bubble & Bee lavendar shower gel/shampoo (http://www.bubbleandbee.com/servlet/the-24/Fresh-Lavender-Organic-Shower/Detail) on DS. A little goes a long way. I like how it's soap-based, and not a detergent.

The ped also recommended Cetaphil when we were using CA Baby when DS was a newborn and had a bout of eczema.

I'm interested in this thread... I've noticed DS's skin is a little bumpy on his back, and DD has had keratosis pilaris for years and it never clears. We use CA Baby as well.

For DD1 we used Cetaphil as a baby wash and it worked just fine. Now we are using Aveeno shower gel with no fragrance and it is fine. She uses Paul Mitchell Baby Shampoo. For DD2 we are just using Aveeno Baby Shampoo and Bodywash.

we just switched to ca baby super sensitive and dd broke out in a rash everywhere it was applied (we only spot soap/shampoo). we stopped using it and it has cleared up. dd's ped who happens to be highly allergic even to cetaphil suggested we just use very diluted baking soda and water, applied with a washcloth. so we are doing that. her eczema and new rashes have cleared. I wonder if it might be the coconut product in the ca baby.

Johnson's has a newer "natural" shampoo that we have used.
