Hi guys, I know this is my first post but I'm just so frustrated with this situation that I really feel like I need to warn people about this crib, especially as a first time parent!
Story is that I bought a New Anderson crib @ Land of Nod hoping/expecting that this would be a painless and great experience! Baby Bargains rated them an A and great customer service. El Greco was also named a good manufacturer. Of course, it was quite expensive too so I expect more from them.
After receiving the crib I put it together and got down to the last screw for the mattress springs and for whatever reason it wasn't going in as smoothly. At first I thought the threads just weren't aligned correctly so I decided to take it out and this happens:

That's the anchor for the screw. Crib no longer USABLE.
Called, easy replacement, stuff happens right? Great customer service, very apologetic.
Second crib arrived and decided to TEST every hole for the screws just in case. There are 3 settings for every mattress level so a total of 12 holes. 4 out of 12 were not going in all the way. I took a closer look and so some type of brown residue in all of the 4 holes. Took some more pics:
This is how it's supposed to look:

After speaking with LON again, they promised they would check it before sending me the third one and gave me a $100 store credit. I waited another 3 days before they could schedule another shipment. One of the representatives even admitted to me they were getting a lot of complaints about too much glue being used.
Third crib was the WORST of them all. Absolutely NO quality control and they failed to check it before delivery!

I mean really? it's a whole LAYER of glue covering the entire hole! Other screw holes looked similar to the second one. I've contacted their CS again and am about to give up on this crib, whole knows what other quality issues may come up? I will keep you guys updated...
