I have about $150 in Amazon gift cards from Christmas. What would you spend it on for yourself? Or what's on your Amazon wish list that you didn't get?

If I had the funds to pay for the rest of it a DSLR camera, probably a Nikon.

I received gift cards and I will use them for books for my Kindle. I dislike spending more than about $1 on a book, so this way I can buy it and it'll be a gift to me :).

I was thinking a little more selfishly than things for the house or diapers. :bag But then again, we could use the help! Or... I wonder if I can use it to pay for prime?

Unfortunately I don't have the extra to put toward a DSLR, although I would LOVE to.

Books that I love to read over and over...otherwise I borrow from the library.

GOOD stuff for the kitchen. Enameled cast iron, a Chemex coffee maker, an electric fondue pot, a pricey end grain maple Boos cutting board, good knives (I buy Victorinox/Fibrox), a knife sharpening station if you don't already have one

I'd also watch for shoes or clogs that I loved, maybe a sweater coat/cardigan. Nice soft sheets (fleece or bamboo?). Good towels. Seriously, you can get almost anything from Amazon. What do YOU really want?

My amazon wishlist is ridiculous. I don't share it with anyone but use it to keep track of products I'm interested in buying.

If I didn't have an e reader, I'd consider one (I have a Nook but if I had 150 in GC to amazon would have used it to buy a kindle).

Books (I use my library heavily for e books and regular books, but always have a running list of reference type books or books I'll want to read and reread, and I like having physical copies of those)

clothing/shoes

Definitely shoes, but those will be no more than $50ish (Converse or similar). I have a stockpile of books from DH's grandmother to get through here already, no Kindle and I haven't decided if I want one.

My wish list has a few things for sewing, some Cuisinart Multiclad pots and pans to replace our non-stick. A food processor. Maybe a label maker. I am unenthusiastic about all of those things. :rotflmao:

Hey, great question! I received Amazon GCs, too, and I thought about posting the same thing.

I'm slowly collecting items in my shopping cart. The GCs are held jointly with DH so we'll put our heads together.

Right now I'm collecting good kitchen items that we badly need:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XR6B3A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BUDDVM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A1VAOWZNDCV6C6
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JG4C2W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
We tend to buy kitchen items recommended by America's Test Kitchen and they haven't let us down yet!

I'm also thinking about a fuzzy robe (recs?) and/or looking ahead to the garden season. Maybe also a set of essential oils.

Oooh, I remember looking at their list of recommended cookware but I don't have it anymore. Do you happen to have it? I'm interested in what they say are the basic essential pots and pans for a kitchen, and their recommendations.

Yup. Cooks illustrated rated them very highly. They are inexpensive and WONDERFUL. I keep them sharp, and I bet they'd beat many MUCH more costly knives.

Splendid tops
Designer jeans (already have some so not on my wish list, but good place to buy them from with free returns)
Shoes or boots
Jawbone ERA or Evo headset (have yet to buy)
Something from MyHabit, I just ordered a pair of Bruno Magli booties for $113 that kept going in and out of stock, not sure why people return them

Hmmm. I'm not sure I have a separate organized list with all the pieces. They're sprinkled throughout the magazines and cookbooks. We have a big stack and I'd be happy check up on sonething if there's a particular item you're wondering about. You might check their website, though, because that might have a complete list.

Often we've needed to get the 2nd or 3rd one on a ljst because of price or availability, so it's nice to have the full test results. I love those guys! (I am a total nerd, just like them.)

Things that were recommended here:
Babyliss Pro hairdryer
hot chocolate maker (http://www.amazon.com/Bialetti-Chocolate-Maker-Milk-Frother/dp/B002HJ3NE2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I8M4F8XA5FTDG&colid=4XUOTXGO838V)

And maybe Kindle books, shoes, and/or clothes. No way would I buy diapers or anything I would normally buy today if I had to! That's not the point of a gift card. ;)
