I am looking for a new pair of skinny jeans - any recommendations? I am 5'2" and size 0/2 so I usually need a petite (or alternations which I like to avoid). I don't want anything super low rise and I am hoping not to spend a fortune!

For the price, I like Old Navy Sweetheart jeans. I like that they have a little higher rise to them but they are not "mom" jeans.;)

I really like the Gap Always skinny jeans. They are reasonably priced and mid rise. They run a little big though so you'll probably need a 0.

I am your height and also typically wear a size 0 or 2.

I have two pairs of Gap Legging Jeans (mid weight, I think). Gap does seem to keep changing their style, and fabrication. I am pretty certain the ones I have do not have polyester...just cotton and spandex. I have them in both a 0P (dark blue) and a 0 regular (in black). The petite jeans hit right at my ankle and the regular length ones just pool slightly at the hem, but aren't that long.

I also have a pair of Gap Always Skinny jeans in a 2P...they are less stretchy than the Legging jeans and in a more traditional jeans fabric (less spandex). They might be the more flattering stye (but the Gap jeggings are soooo comfy). I tried on a pair in 0 regular recently in the store, and they also fit...maybe even better than the ones I already own...except for the length. Alas, they don't have them in a 0 ankle. the ones I have are a couple of years old, so I don't know if they've changed since I got mine.

I also have the Old Navy Rock Star Jeggings (in red)

I took the advice of the online reviewers and ordered a size 2 (I am usually a 0 at ON)...glad I did, because I never would have squeezed into the smaller size. They run the narrowest of the three styles, and are very tapered at the calf and ankle. I love the color and they did stretch out enough to be comfortable/flattering.

Whenever I order jeans online from Gap I end up ordering several sizes. Sometimes petites fit better, sometimes regulars. Sometimes even 0s are too large. The inconsistent sizing drives me a little crazy.

I got a pair of these in regular length, but maybe the short length would work for you?
