Saw this on slick deals... 12 packs of fine or ultra fine rainbow sharpie markers for only $3 a pack! I got 48 sharpies for $12 shipped! Yeah! I love sharpies!

Oh no! I only ordered one pack but other than getting an order confirmation when I placed the order, I haven't gotten any other emails yet. Its the slickdeals effect, tons of people jump on a deal and it seems it always oversells or gets canceled :(

I just got the same email on the two orders I placed with them also. How can you purchase something and now it not be available. If companies cant keep up with supply and demand, then they should not but items on sale that everyone is going to want to buy several of.

I am probably going to give staples a call, not that it will do any good.

Just called Staples as I said I would. I was given the number for Executive CS. I called and gave the nice guy who answered the phone a lot of feedback about how disappointed we all are.

Please call 800-839-3067 ext 31022. If this extension does not work, please press 0 for the operator and she will transfer you to the right place.

I am tired of placing orders and companies not delivering.

I keep checking and I have not received the cancellation email, but I assume that I will at some point. When I click the tracking link in my order confirmation email it shows my "total ordered" as $0 whereas it initially said my total on that line. The actual items list a status of "processing order" even though the expected delivery date is still listed as being tomorrow.

Check your CC! Staples charged my CC for the order even though they sent me a cancellation email! I'm going to have to call them to have them credit back the amount.

Thanks for the alert. No charge to our CC; just checked. I wonder if you'll end up getting the sharpies, even though you got the cancellation email? I still would follow up with Staples though as you plan to do.

I didn't get a cancellation email. The original charges are still pending on my Amex. But I have credits from them. I placed two orders. One was for two packs and the other for one pack. My credits from Staple are for $5 and $10. The math doesn't make sense.

Never got a cancel order. When I follow the link in the e-mail it says it was shipped from warehouse but I haven't received it.

I was never charged, but now have a "return" credit. We'll see what happens.

I got the same email from Staples just minutes before PP posted about the $5 credit per Sharpie pack ordered. Will have to go check the CC account again. That's excellent customer service if they are really doing that to everyone whose order they cancelled.

I don't recall setting up an account (but I could have forgotten about it with all that is going on these days) with them when I ordered other than entering my info.

I was wondering the same thing... so thank you to the PP who clarified it was on our CCs. I've got to hand it to Staples-- I got a $50 credit on my CC.

I think Staples really went above and beyond on this one. I ordered 10 sets for school, teachers, etc, totaling $30. I think $30 in store credit would be amazing, let alone $50 in store credit... but to just put a $50 credit on my CC... that's PHENOMENAL.
