Need nikon DSLR deal....

We sold our d40 and need to order the d3100 ASAP. Any deals? I didn't see anything on slickdeals....

The 3100 and 5100 are both sold at Costco as part of kits.

I haven't seen any real deals. Amazon has the 5100 for $799 which is what I bought it for before Christmas. Costco has the whole kits. I know the 5100 ran ~$1050. The 3100 is probably ~$900. I haven't been in there since before Christmas though.

I would watch Ritz Camera closely. They had the best deals I saw from November to now. They currently have a nice price for refurbished cameras, but I don't know if you would want to go that route or not (we would, we've had very good experience with refurbished products in the past).

Got my 5100 at b&h, it was the best deal I saw at the time. You can signup on decide.com for price watches, it recently told me the best price it could find had gone up to 789. B&H also had a refurbed, as did adorama.

Was @ $800 I believe in December. LOVE IT! I do get frustrated b/c I still learning how to use it.

Don't forget to check with local camera shops. We got ours at onE with a bunch of extras for less than the kits in big box stores. We have a d5100 and I agree that I love/hate it because I have a great deal of learning and practice to do to get used to all of the cool features! It is a wonderful device!
