Your E is probably measuring in a 100 still, but I might go with a 110; what size did you end up getting at Costco in October? Elisa is just now measuring in a 110 for regular Hanna clothes, but the Costco Hanna leggings this year are 120s. I did order some 110 leggings from the outlet sale in October because people said the official Hanna leggings fit better than Costco Hanna leggings. I found that the fit exactly the same.

Thanks! I'm trying to decide if I should go with 110s or 120s. The 100s just fit. I did not notice a huge difference between the Costco one and the ones from the catalogue/Newport store. I got 100s. I thought she would wear them through this coming fall, but no such dumb luck :P For what I paid for them, I wanted more than one season. The tunic dresses I bought are already too short. With no one to pass on to, I feel like the value may not be there for me. I don't need clothes to last through more than one child, but I am paying for quality ones that do. Maybe it's not worth it for me. Just thinking out loud.

Hmmm. I don't know how tall your DD is, but I always think of her as littler than my DD, who is wearing 110s today with a 110 playdress at 46.5 inches tall. Now, yes, at last year's end-of-season sale I ordered her 120s for this summer, but I expect to get this summer and next summer out of them. I could be way off, but I can't imagine your DD needs 120s.

ETA: To answer your initial question, I am more than willing to measure, but can't right now. If you're still interested in a few hours, I'll do it when I get home.

Get the 110s. Of all of the Hanna I have bought starting really at size 90 Elisa spent less time less time in 100s than she has in 110s. Last year at 4 I started buying 110 outfits, and she has worn them again this year. I did buy a 110 tunic this year, a 110 parka (the jackets last a long time:)), 110 s/s tunics from Costco, and a 110 playdress set in Jan., 2011, but really she didn't need much because the 110s still fit. I woukdn't buy 120s because she'll be swimming in them. I bought one playdress in a 120 this year, plus the leggings and she should be able to get another year or two out of the dress. She might get more wear out of some of the 110s this year too.

eta: Elisa is 46" and 43lbs so kind if short for a 5/1/2 yr. old.

The 120s sweatpants are huge on DS1. Like crazy huge, both in the length and waist. The 110s are way too short, but he can hold them up in the waist. He's 46 inches and 43 pounds.

If you don't mind and have time... I'd be interested to see the difference. She is 4.5, 41 inches and 40 lbs. She's probably a 110. I was wondering if I could buy the capris leggings in a 120 and get 2 years out of them.

Also, you have one and I have one. What do you do with your outgrown hannas? Do you hand-me-down to friends/family, sell on Ebay or BBB Swap? I could just but your old ones! I like the big floral print tunic dresses and leggings. DD pretty much lives in those.

I think your right. 110s. Last time I was at Fashion Is., I got a 20% off coupon for my whole purchase, plus what I wanted to buy (the dresses) were on sale. It was too good of a deal. Since the 20% Spring Savings card only works on reg. priced items, I might just wait til the tunic dresses go on sale and order the leggings when I order the dresses. The prices won't change on leggings and bike shorts b/c they are very gud.

At that weight/height, I think you'll still get two years out of the 110s.

IME, the leggings (in a given size) are the first thing my DD#1 outgrows. Capris and sweatpants are the last. I agree with boolady's recommendation for size 110 capris (120s would fit like loose, ankle-length pants) - looking at a CDC growth chart, I'd expect your DD to be 44" at 5.5 years, so size 110s should fit this summer and next. FWIW, my DD#2 is 40" (and should be 40.5" at her 3-year WCC in May), but 32-33 pounds, and will wear 100s this summer. My DD#1 transitioned to 110s at 3.5 years, 42.25" and 40 pounds. The following summer, at 4.5, she was 45.5", and wore a mixture of smaller 120s and her larger 110s.
