How far in advance due you send invitations to a kids birthday party? Party is at the end of March at a soft gym. I need to get the counts to the gym the week before the party, so I am thinking I should send the invites 2 weeks before the counts are due (or 3 weeks before the party). Is that appropriate?

3 weeks out is my norm too. eta- and I follow up with people that don't reply by the RSVP date.

I like to do 3 weeks esp. for a place like that that requires a count, but I just got an evite for a party that was just 2 weeks in advance.

I think 3 weeks is ideal.

3 weeks is good--esp if you are working around/near Spring break.

I almost always do 3 weeks. I also make sure to put "RSVP by (date)". Usually people always wait until the last minute which drives me bananas! I also include a cell phone number and email because IME, people prefer to email or text rather than just call.

I vote 2 weeks. If I ever go longer than that, the other parents often don't know their weekend schedules, and put off the rsvp...stashing the invitation to deal with later. Then we end up not knowing, and with a low head count since it often gets forgotten.

I always send out invites or Evites one month ahead. I worry less about one month being too early notice because Evites have the email reminders, which is nice.

I vote for 3 weeks prior to the party.
