And I think it looks OK but can I say that I just feel totally out of my element??? Like everyone's looking at me and silently critiquing the look while thinking "that's not what she normally wears, I wonder why?"

I felt that way last year when I first started wearing a scarf. Now it is as normal as putting on undies! I also felt like people stared at first, but I never feel like that now. I'm sure you look amazing!

I love that it is a part of my accessories for a million reasons.
- In a pinch it can work as a hat for me or kiddos
- coverup when NIP
- hides stains/leaks
- dresses up simple tops
- I've used them as blankets for DS2
- coverup over a swim suit
- awesome travel accessory (don't have to worry about wrinkles, takes little space up, completely changes an outfit so you can wear nearly the same things multiple days, works as pillow/blanket, etc. I took 2 when we went to Greece last year and it was awesome...they didn't take up much room, but I used them a TON! Even DH used one as a blanket on the plane)

She also has good videos on youtube ie how to wear skinny jeans, how to wear a denim jacket, what to wear with boots etc. and there are awesome hair tutorials also. i am also her coloring (asian) and petite so i try to mimic her outfits but less expensive version. I save her outfit pics in a folder on my computer desk top to reference when i don't know what to wear. my frugal self can't/won't spend $$ on louboutins or a mcqueen scarf but i admire her style.

I love that blog too! I have been wearing scarves for a few months now and I love it. I tend to wear very plain clothes and just started wearing some bolder jewelry this past summer. So, I decided to take it one step further and try out scarves. I've had a lot of ppl compliment me, which of course encourages me to wear them even more, lol. The trick is to get a variety of scarves in your collection I tend to buy them on deep clearance, even ones that I didn't think were colors I'd really like, I've actually worn before and been surprised how well it worked. They are really fun to play with. My mom has always worn a lot of scarves, but I associated it with old lady wear, up until this past yr.
