DS is 2 yr 9 mo, and fast outgrowing the RF limit on his Roundabout. (He is 33 pounds, 36" tall now.) I'd like to keep him RF as long as possible, but want a convertible we can use when he outgrows the height limit. Any thoughts?

We use a LATCH install on our Accord and Civic. Don't want to spend more than necessary, but am willing to put out $ for quality, and DH loves the Britax install. Plus TRU is having their trade-in right now. TIA for your wisdom.

Which model roundabout is he outgrowing (40/50/55)?

He is outgrowing the one with the 40 FF limit.

Oh, that's a tiny seat. He'll have tons more room in just about any other seat on the market - it sounds like he has a relatively short torso. You'll definitely want a 40+lb seat, but there are lots to choose from now. The new britaxes are very nice, though they aren't a ton taller in the shell. They also don't have much legroom. I really like our radians (as do my kids), but they can be tricky to install in some cars. The complete air is often mentioned as a nice tall, relatively easy to install seat, though I haven't used one myself.
