The book threads always give me great ideas for reading but lately I feel like watching some movies.
I'm not into horror/gore but I'm open to a variety of genres.
New or old doesn't matter, just something that didn't bore you and wasn't too dopey.
What have you seen that I can add to the "to watch" list?

I'd like to see the Debt. Saw Crazy, Stupid Love and liked it. Watched "walk the line" last night, always love to see the duets.
We saw Incendies a few nights ago. Amazing, absolutely amazing, but not in any way something you should watch if you want a feel-good, laughy movie. It's sort of a true tragedy, but wow. Still thinking about it.
I really enjoyed the Swedish Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series!
We also saw Moneyball recently, and despite my not knowing anything about baseball, I thought it was fun.

I thought Margin Call was really good. Midnight in Paris was also very good.

Incendies was very, very intense. I liked it.
We watched Moneyball this weekend. Loved it! I've been watching major league baseball for years and years but I feel very differently about it now.
Of course, The Help. We watched Courageous recently. A Christian movie, not the best acting but a great message.

Its all about action in my house. We rented Real Steel last night and we all loved it. I just started taking kickboxing classes, so I enjoyed all the fighting scenes.

DH and I watched "Bridesmaids" from the Redbox. Eh. We are not Kristen Wiig fans. It's official.

Attack the Block. UK film, but on many US reviewers top 10 lists for the year. It's basically an indie-budget popcorn flick, but unlike most popcorn flicks these days - genuinely good, start to finish.

:yeahthat: I was disappointed after seeing Bridesmaids in the theater. I know most people thought it was just so funny. I thought it had some good moments, but I didn't love it.

:yeahthat: we saw that and enjoyed it.
Also liked 50/50.
I did not like Contagion - bored me to tears.
ETA: also recently watched:
Beginners - liked. Slow but good.
Friends with Benefits - surprisingly watchable. (we don't do many romantic comedies, but both thought this was better than expected)
Hangover 2 - wretched
Don't be afraid of the dark - not very good. (horror - just read the OP that you don't like -sorry!)
30 minutes or less - okay, but some slow parts.
Tucker and Dale vs. Evil - funny if you like that sort of thing (horror/comedy. Lots of gore. Sorry didn't read the OP re not liking horror)
Midnight in Paris - kind of boring
Fright Night - never should have been remade. Not sure it counts as horror, but just avoid it anyway.

"Outsourced" is on Netflix streaming and it's a light, fun romantic comedy/culture clash movie.
We saw REAL STEEL and the boys (DS and DH) liked it. It is about robot boxing, LOL!

We did see Fireproof and I want to see Courageous (Lana mentioned it earlier). Haven't seen or read The Help but want to do both.
The list of "to watch" is growing....

Just saw A Single Man with Colin Firth. Great movie but you have to be up for a heavy drama.
