I'm planning DH's for next weekend, so I wanted to think on DD's while I'm in the mood...

We did princesses and knights at home. made crowns for a craft.
6th party was a painting party at a painting canvas place with just girls. We didn't have much of a theme but did princess crown cupcakes.
This year for 7 she wants a hello kitty theme.

It was really just her family party, because we were moving and she didn't have a "friend" party this year, but it was girl superheroes.

DD1's 5th birthday was Mermaids/Under the Sea.
I made a Mermaid Dora cake and we had things like goldfish and shell pasta. :)

DD was Hello Kitty Star Wars. We had it at My Gym.
DS was Speed Racer. We had it at our club's kiddie pool.

Dora's 5th birthday was a kite flying party. The kids decorated their own kites and flew them. They got $1 character kites as a favor (actually worked better than the decorated kites), ate cupcakes with kites on sticks stuck in.
Arwyn's 5th bday is coming up, and I *think* she wanted a Pooh party. But that could change tomorrow:p

We went with the very unique theme of ...Prince and Princess. :hysterical:Seriously that's all the parties we went to at that age.
However, I did add a twist and did all Indian stuff. I gave out Indian princess jewelry for the girls and got adorable Indian prince turbans for the boys. We also had pony rides. And yummy Indian food - samosas, bhajiyas - yum!
I'm hungry now....

We did a "Breakfast for dinner in your pjs" party. Served pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, and a donut-shaped birthday cake.

If memory serves ... that was the year we did Hannah Montana.
For her 6th birthday I let her choose everything. We ended up with Barbie invites, a Hello Kitty cake and Little Pet Shop favors. LOL
