I am so sorry! Job interview responses are the worst to wait for. DH recently has a experience of an unbeliably slow response but still got the job. I was stressed our entire Xmas holiday! Don't let this ruin what sounds like will be an awesome party you've worked really really hard on. It's easier said than done but you have to get up and focus on the party. Hopefully you will have a great time, your DH will have a great time and it will make you forget about the job for a bit!

Thanks for the PM Mojo. No worries. I just had this sinking feeling that putting all my dirty laundry out here would have the opposite effect that I wanted. I really think you get back what you put out there, so repeatedly telling myself negative things is not going to help. Anyway. But yes, it sucks. I still don't understand how they thought they could let me know by the middle of this week if they have not yet contact my references.
