Last night, I got to wear my Adrianna Papell gown at the formal fundraiser we attended. Unfortunately, with a dark room and only my point-and-shoot camera, we didn't get any really good pix. But you can get the idea from this one (just ignore the completely blown-out skin tones--I hate flash!). I wound up getting the dress altered (found a fabulous tailor who could work with all of the layers--charged me less than Nordstrom's quoted me). Can you believe I bought a petite and had to have the gown shortened two inches and the straps shortened as well?
Once it was sized correctly, it was super comfortable! I wore it with silver heels and a white gold and diamond necklace and some pretty drop earrings by Eliot Danori. I had a super cute little silver, firm squared off little dressy handbag as well.
It was a lot of work getting the evening organized (two kids had soccer in two different directions), and I had to drive into the city to meet dh by 6:30, but it was fun to dress up!
