I am not planning to spend a lot of money on clothes this spring and have not decided what I most need. But I have run aross a couple of things I think are really cute.

One is this sweater from Anthropologie. I think it would work well to spiff up my usual plain jeans and a t-shirt look: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=23894306&catId=CLOTHES-SWEATERS&pushId=CLOTHES-SWEATERS&popId=CLOTHES&navCount=14&color=005&isProduct=true&fromCategoryPage=true&templateType=B1

Another is this cute pair of flats from Sundance, although I'm not so sure about the colors. http://www.sundancecatalog.com/product/footwear-and-bags/shoes/tuck+%27n%27+roll+flats.do?sortby=ourPicks

What have you found?

Haven't really thought much about spring, but I have to say, I am NOT digging the orange trend. I don't really think orange is a particularly flattering color, and especially not on me!

Love the orange trend...but most shades work on me.

I love the new ballerina TOMS flats. In general I am just looking for cute flats that I can wear with my skinny jeans or Capri pants.

I'm low on shorts, but i still have a lot of stuff that i bought last yeAr that i can't wait to wear again. Patagonia Margot dresses, skorts, etc.

It can be hard for me to find shorts that aren't too long--thick thighs, so can't do bermuda, and aren't too short. I'm hoping Eddie Bauer has some good ones this year. ON are just too short or tight in the thighs for me.

I did see some cute summer dresses at REI today, REI brand, and patagonia. Don't really need them though.

I love orange, is it in this year again? Stacy and Clinton say its a color that looks good on almost everyone, but most women think they look bad in it. Take that for what it's worth. :)

I want a comfortable pair of espadrilles that are also super cute.

I want an outfit for graduation this spring--so that's a dress, shoes, and a new bag. I'll also need a dress for my sister's wedding.

I thought it would be fun to wear some Minnetonka boots (http://www.zappos.com/minnetonka-calf-hi-3-layer-fringe-boot-brown-suede) like these with shorts, but it might be more practical to wait until the fall for them.

Shoes are usually the first thing that catch my eye...so far, I'm longing to try these on:

and these...

I am not sure.....

I know that I am waiting for some Ugg slippers to go on winter clear-out (does that qualify as a spring longing?

Also, I am dying to get back in to some normal bras, once I stop breastfeeding! ....Which will allow me to wear dresses again. So longing for some dresses and tunics.

....And some of the new longer cardigans.
....And some camis.

Hmm. Guess I do have a couple of things that I want!:D

I like the sweater and the flats you linked to crl - I never think to look at Sundance but those flats look cute and comfy. The sweater is adorable but I suspect it will hit me right at my mummy tummy and reveal just the wrong curves. I will look for it in store though!

I *need* a great pair (or two) of attractive walking sandals. I've worn my Borns almost to pieces. Unfortunately, I haven't come across any others I love as much, but I am so in the market. (I already own many, many others - Aldos, Clarks, Aerosoles, Tevas, J. Siebel) but the Borns are the only ones that get serious use.

I love orange! I got this Kate Spade orange slice straw bag:
http://i.pgcdn.com/pi/86/23/95/862395050_260.jpg
And a Banana Republic denim shirt. I wore them with my Gap T shirt, ivory skinnies and yellow Converse this weekend:

I had wanted to wear it with my new Ugg Hazel wedge sandals, but DD asked me not to wear heels that day (we were going to the park). So I went with the Cons instead.

I am eyeing this dress, in the grey rose:

And for some reason I am obsessed with these earrings, although I am pretty sure the style is so 5 minutes ago (but then Anthro wouldn't carry them, right??):

Orange is in, huh? Well, it really doesn't look good on me so shoes or a handbag (CUTE orange slice!) seem like a good way to wear it.

That dress from Garnet Hill is pretty. It looks comfortable. I love the looks of dresses and when I worked I actually wore them, but alas, they don't get enough use anymore for me to justify another.

City mama, I'm not sure that sweater would flatter me either. Maybe I'll make it to the store :hysterical: to try it on. . . .

Yeah, I've read that orange is in, FWIW. I agree that the orange slice bag is super cute!

What are they pairing orange with? I've seen it w/a dark khaki at J Crew, and thought it looked really nice. Not sure it does much for my skin tone, but Imlike the punch of brightness in the spring/summer.

I checked. But I really want the Tasman style and they don't carry them.

I'm longing for a nice handbag and a COMFY pair of ballet flats... After almost 3 years of carrying a diaper bag with me (first Skip Hop Studio, recently a SH Saddle Bag) and a tiny crossbody purse, I just ordered a Tignanello bag from QVC... So excited to finally get a nice leather bag. nothing too fancy, a shopper style with organized compartments (as a SAHM, I still need to carry some toddler 'necessities' with me), but I finally want MY stuff in the bag as well :)... It's this one:
http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.tpl.csweb.cm_scid.cswb.item.A97572.cc.200

I'll need to order a comfy pair of flats, too... Have very fussy feet and only one pair of spring ballet flats that are OK, usually I switch into sandals once it gets warm enough.. But each year go on a quest to find a nice COMFY pair... Here are the ones I'm thinking about:
http://www.zappos.com/naturalizer-violette-dark-pewter-metallic?zlfid=111&recoName=zap_pdp_sub
http://www.zappos.com/ara-bella-taupe-suede-black-patent
http://www.zappos.com/ak-anne-klein-buttons-black-reptile?zlfid=111&recoName=zap_pdp_cross

And the usual: a pair or two of flattering jeans (bootcut, grew so tired of skinny jeans already), a couple versatile tops...

Nothing yet. :). I'm not a huge lover of spring clothing, thankfully. I do enough damage in the fall and winter. ;). I'll be keeping my eye on this thread though!

You may want to look at these flats too: http://www.zappos.com/cole-haan-air-tali-lace-ballet-gunsmoke-gunmetal

I have the wedge version and they are insanely comfortable - like wearing a padded slipper.

Thanks Arivecchi! They are cute, love the gunmetal combo especially. Might need to try them and you cant go wrong with Zappos, right ;). Last year I splurged on a paid of AG Leombruni (sale, but still pricey) and while more comfy than most, I still experienced rubbing, couple blisters and slight bunion pain after wearing them for a month :(. Makes me think there are no flats for me out there...
