I've seen some listed on here before but can't seem to search for them. I am looking for a general how to fix things around the house book that is great for an idiot. I'm pretty visual, so one with lots of pictures would be great.

Home Depot has a pretty good one. I've used it to reference several times.

I heard great things about the Home Depot "1-2-3..." series, but have this one myself:

My parents had the How To Do Just About Anything book and they both used it a lot; my dad was pretty skilled at DIY stuff too.

We have this Better Homes and Gardens one that seems to have everything in it...
