So is this like Corelle or more fragile? Not familiar with Duralex in person.

I'm not familiar with Corelle but these things are not fragile. Just the opposite. They are made of tempered glass, so 3 (or 4?) times stronger than regular glass. My DDs have dropped various items (cups, plates) a number of times and we have yet to have anything break. I even dropped a glass at the top of the stairs (wooden stairs) and it bounced all the way down and didn't break. I'm sure they are not unbreakable but we have yet to have anything break with a toddler and preschooler using them daily. We have the picardie glasses and bowls, and the mixing bowl set, soup plates, and various size plates. I've been phasing out plastic over the past couple of years and bought these to take the place of some plastic dishes that we used to use daily.

Thanks for posting!

Anyone know how these prices and styles/ sizes compare to the ones carried at Costco?

I've only seen the Picardie glasses at Costco.

I love these and we use them every single day with the kids. I have had a couple break but really it is very rare. Today DS2 dropped his plate from 3 feet up and it was fine.

are they still carrying them at Costco? I still have not been able to locate them at my local stores!

Contemplating the bowls and and the mixing bowls. Is it worth $10 for the extra large mixing bowl in the 10 piece set vs the 9 piece without the huge bowl?

Depends on what you make, but 2.5 qts is really not all that big, so I'd go for the 10 piece set myself.

I saw them here in suburban Chicago not that long ago. Definitely around Christmas time. Not sure if they still have them, though. I'll look again next time I go.

I agree. It's not a huge bowl. I got the 10 piece and I definitely use the two largest bowls the most
