Gift for friend/acquaintance turning 40.

Help! I am going to a 40th B-Day party on Saturday for a woman who I've only recently met. We get along well & I'm interested in becoming friends with her, but I really don't know her very well just yet. She is a SAHM to 2 elementary school-aged boys & her DH travels a lot for work.

So BBB, any ideas on what I could get her for a gift?

If she drinks, a bottle of wine is usually a safe bet. Or maybe a gift card for a manicure? Or maybe 2 movie passes (she could use for either a girls' night or a date night)? I know those aren't very original ideas, but it's usually best to play it safe if you don't know the person very well.

Gift certificate for a spa/salon and a card good for your babysitting services? If her dh is gone a lot, she'd probably like a night off. I like the bottle of wine idea too.
