Anyone have experience using the flexhaler for younger kids? Not sure my Ds will be able to do it correctly. He currently uses the nebulizer and we just started with an aerochamber for Albuterol, which he did fine with. The flexhaler seems more difficult though.

That is very young for one - it is not approved for under age 6. I know a few people who were able to use it with 5 yos, but most say stick with the nebulizer until then since you cannot use an aerochamber with Pulmicort.

At that age we tried Asmanax with the Twisthaler (similar to the Flexhaler) for older DD and she was not able to successfully use it. Ask the doc for a sample first.

We use Flovent with the aerochamber (after being on pulmicort via neb) - is this an option 4 you?

Yeeeah, no. At that age, aerochamber (the bong thingie). Or neb.
