was 25. I think its a cute project for the kids. My Ds had this in preschool and on the last day they had them fly away. I think alot of schools do that.

We did a kit a few years ago and it was great. We have another kit in the basement that I'm looking forward to doing in a few weeks.

It is back up to 13.xx right now.

When is the best time to order the larvae? I'm in so cal. Did everyone just release or kept them in the habitat? I read the description and it seems like it would depend on weather?

Thanks op. I've been wanting to do this with dd since last yr but didn't want to pay regular price

They have matching figurines for the stages of butterfly growth too!

I'm a geek though...

What an awesome Easter present on many levels...

I'm interested in the weather issues too, love to hear what others did. We will likely have snow on the ground at Easter time..

Cute produt!
Just a heads up ...
The voucher to send away for larvae, requires an $5 for s&h.
Just an FYI in case you are planning to give as a gift...

Try this link for the matching butterfly lifestages models. I haven't seen in person, but looks fun. They also make them for ladybugs and ants if you have those "Insect Lore" products.

Not currently available with amazon prime, but it was yesterday, so just watch and I'm sure it'll come back in stock from a prime seller.

I'd like to know too since I just ordered 3 for
A butterfly party I'm having for my dd2.

I just paid $9 something but had to pay about $4 shipping...
Bought 3 for $40. Hope I still got a good deal!!

Thanks OP.

We bought a caterpillar at an insect fair last summer for about $6 and it came in a box with food. It was such a great experience!
