Question: Selling on BBB swap

Im a member of BBB swap but havent sold or bought anything yet so don't know how it works. I actually may (depending if I get my GG shipment) have things people are wanting to sell. My dh saw how much I spent and he's already telling me to return it.

How is payment arranged? Do most use PayPal? Check? How about shipping cost? I'm not looking to make a profit on the GG stuff but dont want to lose money from paying PayPal fee, shipping materials or not charging enough for shipping cost.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Most people use paypal, but I have also paid with a check once. The seller just shipped after the check cleared. If you use paypal, you can also add paypal fee on top. You can just price it as "$15 plus fee and shipping". And figure out shipping with your buyer. Good luck

People on swap use paypal. Usually if the item is paid for using the goods/services option (which incurs fees) the seller asks that the buyer pay the fees. As the seller you also determine the shipping type. People generally appreciate cheaper shipping but you can ship however you like and just put that in your ad. I ship smaller items USPS and larger (several pounds) usually UPS ground. You'll need to know what the items weigh boxed or bagged up to ship. All the shippers have tools online to determine cost. Usually once you post someone will say they are interested and provide their zip so that you can calculate postage amount.

I know that they like to keep the items kid related on the swap site, so clothing,toys,etc.

Most people will set a price and then usually calculate postage when someone contacts them.

There's also MamaSwap for non-kid related items. It hasn't had much activity lately, but I have a feeling that may change in the next week or so. ;)
