Does anyone have a hotel rec for Clearwater Beach, Fl? We are attempting to book a trip, but not sure where to stay.

My family has stayed at a condo/timeshare resort for years, and stopped going about 5 years ago. The resort has changed hands, remodeled, etc. With that has come outrageous prices....$350/night. We can't afford this. From what I understand the area has undergone major changes.

So, the criteria is this: clean, non-smoking, within walking to the beach or on the beach, somewhere in the mid of the strip is great. We will be traveling with DD, so preferably nothing too loud.

Any BTDT? I checked tripadvisor, but there is so much info...

Can I go with you??? :ROTFLMAO: There are a ton of hotels along the beach...of course I can't think of any of their names now. But all are nice so I don't think you can make a bad choice. Have fun!

We always stay in Treasure Island which is about 20 min south of Clearwater. Less busy - gorgeous beaches and better prices.

We have stayed a couple of times at the Sheraton Sand Key.

They do seem to have some special package rates...

Friends of ours loved the Sandpearl...but I think the prices are in the $300+/night range.
