I know she has lots of other important things going on, but I'm starting to get a bit worried, especially since she was a frequent contributor. I hope everything went well with her delivery. I saw that she did reply to a thread about something else a few days ago. Has anyone heard from her?

I was wondering about her yesterday. I know it can be kind of draining to update on the delivery, especially when you are dealing with so much else.

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for thinking of me! I have been wanting to get on and share with you all but things have been a little crazy. My C-Section was Tuesday and I was released from hospital on Thursday though I know now I should have stayed another day. But that is a whole other story! I am recovering so-so. My swelling is really bad from my feet all the way to my belly (even my tush!). I only came home 6 lbs lighter than when I went in! And sure enough, baby and I have caught DD1's cold...so I have been dealing with a sick newborn. Which means she has to be held almost constantly...oh darn :wink2: So, I have been busy doing nothing but nursing, snuggling, and trying to navigate our new relationship with DD1 (can we get a jealous sibling thread going?????????)

She has a bit of a tongue tie, but even so, breastfeeding is going well. Thank goodness for that! We go to see a specialist for the tongue tie tomorrow. She will see a specialist for her hips in a couple of weeks. DD1 had DDH and they found a very small hip click in DD2, so we are getting it checked out. But all in all, we are well! She is a lovely baby and we are so fortunate! Her blood sugars were great and I am here to say that ULTRASOUNDS CAN BE WRONG because she was much smaller than predicted!!!!!!!!!!! I had to send DH out to buy NB baby clothes after all the 9-10 lb predictions!

Thanks for all the well wishes! I have been lurking but usually am nursing, and I am one of those mama's who has to use one and usually two hands to nurse so I have been reading and not posting. But you'll see me around a little here and there.

So, here she is....Finola Dianne, 7lbs 8 oz and we are totally in love!

I haven't opened this thread since I first posted, but I was starting to worry that we haven't heard from A-M all this time...so I opened it only to see 4 pages of congrats! Finola is so beautiful! The baby is beautiful and your older DD will adjust, I'm sure. Just make a big deal about what she's able to do, even little things, because Big Sisters can do them. I think that helped me not resent my little brother when he arrived (I was about 3.5 then.)
