for putting the thought out there about how it is flawed to look at in the past "because what people generally want is all the good things about their current situation PLUS all the good things about the road not taken. And none of the downside from either"

i'm in a pretty frustrating situation at work and this line of thinking has helped me reframe it and have a better attitude. it's really true - you can't have just upside/upside!

so thanks sste. your wise thinking has had a positive impact on my life :bowdown: you rock!

So wise! I'm one of those indecisive people and second guess myself all the time. I'm going to try and keep this in mind when I start in on myself.
