Brag Alert! My 8 year old son qualified for Math Bowl for the 2nd year!

A local college sponsors an area-wide Math Bowl competition for the local elementary schools each year. DS1 was selected again as one of three 2nd graders in our entire district to compete! He was selected last year as well.

I am so excited and proud! He will have a couple practice sessions with our district's gifted coordinator and the other students and they will compete in May.

We didn't do Math Bowl (I attended parochial school) but I won our school's Geography Bee in the 8th grade ... and competed in our county's Spelling Bee the same year.

And I was also captain of the Academic Bowl team in high school.

Love the academic teams!!!
