and I can't find anything I like. My problem is that I have a medium foot with a narrow heel, so anything I buy makes my feet slip. Someone told me to buy Tory Burch, and I did. Except that the 8.5 was far too big and the 8 was too small. Next company. I'm looking for something that doesn't slip, has a closed toe and heel, and is flat. I should be able to wear it with anything from a denim skirt to something dressier (although, I realize I may need more pairs of shoes, pregnancy is just not the best time to do that). I'm getting desperate peeps, my only non-ruined pair of shoes are my Aquitalia boots. That's just not going to do it for spring.

Did you try inserts with the 8.5 TB flats?

How about Cole Haan Air Bacara flats? They're supposed to grip the heel well.

No. Should I have? They were so big that they flew off every time I walked. That was not cool walking through Switzerland with all my kids.

You might try Cole Haan because their shoes run horribly narrow, but then I have a big wide foot so they are probably a normal width for most people.

Thanks for letting me know about the TB shoes, those might work for me, but honestly I am too darn cheap to spend $200 on a pair of ballet flats if they aren't going to be able to be worn for at least 10 yrs., and or can't be resoled.

I have a similar type foot. I love Cole Haan, Born (Stowaway is my fav) and Keen flats.

how about these TB? http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/tory-burch-reva-metallic-tumbled-flat/3230713?origin=category&resultback=3192

they have that nice (elastic?) gather at the heel.
