Disclaimer - this was for an adult party (with kids in attendance, but birthday boy is an adult)
I just received an invite with the wittiest way of saying "No gifts, please." It was very clear and made me laugh - which I think is the perfect way of doing this. And I think it will discourage people from bringing something (although I still want to get him some liquor or wine) I'll come back and update on whether anyone brought anything after the party!
When: Saturday, March 10
Where: The place the party's being held

Time: 3:30pm – 7pm
Other: Those bearing gifts will be asked to leave
