It will be held in the ballroom of a local high end resort....late March. We live in the deep south and have been having weather in the mid 70's for weeks already.
It's called a "wine tasting gala" ... tix are $100/ couple.

I'm just not sure how dressy etc. Invite doesn't say.

I'm looking for suggestions?

If anyone feels like shopping specifically for me I'm a size 10 and 5'9". Pretty proportional, with a tummy.
I don't really want to stand out from the crowd, but my taste is a bit edgier more funky and I don't want to hide that either. My kids are new at the school (next year) and I will be making a first impression and meeting a lot of new people.

I'd go cocktail. LBD or something similar. Up side is no one will remember :)

3 different Anthropoligie have caught my eye. They can work if the event is on the casual end of dressy or even if dressy, imo:

either color, with funky jewelry:

Here's a bunch of Nordstrom Rack dresses, I don't know what appeals to you?

I have these exact dresses and can vouch for them working on an apple bod:

I have similar dresses by the same designer in slightly different colors/fabrics/patterns:

I just saw this and thought it had potential, especially with good accessories:

Thanks for the thoughts and links.

I ended up going to dillards yesterday and tried on about 10 million dresses. it was one of those bad shopping days where nothing works and you just want to cry!
I ended up buying a LBD that looked nice on me, but wasn't particularly remarkable.

If I find something better, great, but if not at least this will be fine.
Now I'm off to find shoes....
Glitter? really?

I'm not a glitter shoe person. With a LBD I would go leopard or red or with a cool print.
