I tried a different way than usual for cooking them and now that i've cut a few open the yolk isn't quite all the way done. I was going to make egg salad for my lunch today.
I don't want to throw out a dozen eggs, can I salvage them somehow?
The yolk in the very center is just a bit more yellow that normal, not quite gel-like....I can't explain it but they definitely aren't cooked all the way through like normal!
Help!

Peel them and finish cooking them in the microwave. I know you can "hard boil" an egg in the micro, but have never done it myself. I think I would start by chopping one up a bit and then microwaving it. Not sure about microwaving a whole peeled egg.

If you really want to fancy them up, mash them up with a fork and a little melted butter and sea salt. Yummmo.

You can cook the whole unpeeled ones more--just put them in a pot of cold water, then back on the stove.

Me, too. Yum.
Me three.
And I actually prefer them that way for egg salad - the yolk is not as dry.

Thanks everyone! I ended up using them as they were and they came out much creamier than normal...like someone said I guess they weren't as dry!
