Extra vitamin C for sick kiddos?

Do you give your DCs extra vitamin C when they are sick? I take extra vitmain C when anyone (is/getting) sick to hopefully cut my "sick time".
With DD1 and DD2 passing germs back and forth I want to up their intake....

right now they take a daily multi vitamin and probiotic and I have Yum Earth vitamin C pops, which have a daily dose of vitmain C in them.

DD1 is 4 and DD2 is 19 months.

It can't hurt.... Vit C is water soluable, so if they get more than they need, it just gets peed out.

I think Zinc is more beneficial, but some extra Vit C can't hurt
