I'm reallly wanting a couple of pairs to wear in the hospital in a few weeks after DD2 arrives- I totally didn't do this with DD1 and hate the grubby clothes I'm wearing in all of the pics.

I was SUPER hot with DD1- so short sleeve is a must- I'll probably wear my black workout shorts under the covers so I don't get gunky stuff on my new pjs.

I really like these from garnet hill- but $70 for pjs?

I've looked at target, tjmaxx, gap, ON, and they don't have anything similar. Any idea on where I can find something cute but not more than I pay for a dress??? ok with a short cute gown too- can't do a tank top type thing bc my DH's inlaws are super conservative and that would freak his dad out.

Do you need nursing friendly PJs?

If you're going to wear your own shorts with them anyway I'd probably just get a few cute short sleeved nursing tops. You could always pair something with a light robe or cardigan for when the ILs are around.

I haven't tried this but someone rec'd it in another thread today:

Have you tried Kohls? They sometimes have good pjs.

I saw some super cute ones at Marshall's yesterday. They said they had just come in. between $16 and $26. Lots of short sleeve options, capris, shorts, nighties, etc. There were some by Valerie Bertenelli (sp) that were super cute, I had no idea she had a clothing line.

I'm having trouble finding images of any of the ones I saw. There was a modest knee length Ellen Tracy nightgown made of soft cotton that buttoned down. It was verticle navy/white pinstripe with yellow piping that might be handy for nursing.

They had a lot of stuff that was kind of like this that was closer to the $16 mark and were the same material in different styles like short sets OR capris OR nightgowns:

I have the garnet hill pj's in the long sleeved and long pant version. They are REALLY nice, but are more petite (which works for me, but probably not for everyone else). If you are planning to BF, I'd suggest getting some target nursing tank tops (they have ones that look nicer now with a little lace on them) and then dark colored pj pants (due to lochia, I am always paranoid about wearing light colored bottoms immediately post partum) with a loose elastic for comfort. That is what I wore for DS2 and DS3's birth post partum and while it did not look really cute, it felt better than being stuck in a hospital gown and feeling frumpy.

Yoga pants, nursing cami and hoodie worked for me.

I have 2prs of GH Asian wrap pj's and wouldn't risk them post-partum! (SIL did and she ruined hers.) Side note - the long sleeve ones are currently 40% off at GH.

Anyway, I would get something from Target/Walmart/Marshalls/TJMaxx. I've gotten really comfy cotton knit ones from all of those places!

Garnet Hill has a few items, including Asian wrap PJs, 40% off for St. Patric's day. So they are $41 now. Run!

I had this nursing top in teal, and I loved it for post-partum belly coverage. Not the most amazing nursing access, but not obvious like my faves (Boob nursing tops--work great but scream "nursing top").

I just wore it with knit palazzo pants from Target; don't even think they were meant to be pjs. It's what I'll be wearing next time too.

Mind you, I left the hospital in under 1 hour and hope to this time (midwives! woohoo!) so I didn't need much.
