So, I have an ergo rapido, little orange one from target that I bought 18 months ago, paided ~$90. I liked it a lot at first, but it is really not doing well with suction at this point, even on "high." It needs to be replaced, and it just feels like it did not last long enough.

We use a housekeeping service and have all hard surfaces, so this is just for light clean up between visits from the cleaners. I really want something cordless and a stickvac, so I can grab it, clean up quick and put it away. Mostly, I will use it in the kitchen.

I was looking at the Dyson DC35 and then at cheaper options, like this one (http://www.amazon.com/EL1030A-Ergorapido-Bagless-Cordless-Stick/dp/B004H1NK4Q/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1331991864&sr=8-13). It is supposed to have a more powerful battery. I am not sure if that would extend the usable life or not.

Does anyone have the Dyson, or something else they love for quick clean up? I am just disappointed that my little ergo did not last longer.

I had two of these (http://www.amazon.com/Eureka-Quick-Up-Cordless-96H/dp/B004LBHGJC/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1331994102&sr=1-1) and they were absolutely fantastic....and so cheap! Need to get another one now.
