What booster for field trips (1st grade)?

What do you do for field trips or when she is going to a friend's house after school? Do you still use a booster seat and send it to school with your child?

I have my 7yo in a Britax Parkway in my van and am all about still using a high back booster at this age, but am considering buying a Graco No Back Turbo Booster to use for field trips. Thoughts? Thanks!

How do they travel on the field trips? Our school uses buses so no booster needed. I would probably buy a low back booster for the play dates. But even better ask the other parents if they have an extra booster already; I know I do.

I'll :yeahthat: to SnuggleBuggles. DD's elementary school uses buses for transportation on field trips. Parents aren't allowed to drive.

I picked up a backless Graco Turbobooster to have on hand for playdates. I generally use that in my car for DD's friends, though. I'll ask the other parent if they need a booster and they typically already have one she can use.

We sent a HBB to school for field trips, but we were one of just a handful who did so. A few parents commented to me they were surprised DD was even still in a carseat. She's 48" and not even 45lb at 8.5yo old, so she'll be in a seat for a long time!

For playdates, parents always had seats DD could borrow. Her friends are petite, like her.

DD1 has a Graco high back that she takes the back off for field trips and she diesn't have issues with it. A few friends also have the Evenflo Amp booster that is linked and it is nice.
