Help pick shoes for this dress.

I bought this dress and want to use it for a cocktail party saturday night at my son's school. What shoes would dress it up for night event?

I think that dress is super cute, but not very "cocktail". I think you're going to need to amp up the accessories. For shoes, maybe a high heel peep toe. Normally I think sandals, but that might add to the casual feel.

I know it's not very dressy, that's why I'm struggling. I don't feel like buying anything new and don't have anything else, so thought maybe with good shoes and jewelry I could dress it up?

Am I just fooling myself that I can make it work?

I would find another dress. It's way too casual IMHO. Sorry! :(

Maybe a long sparkly necklace? I haven't gone to any school functions, but in general in my area (DC) that would be way casual for cocktail attire. But maybe it's different in other regions. I do think it's very cute though, and color blocking is on trend.
