Onyx vs. Rushmore Frontier 85 (and price check)

Hi everyone!

Thank you all for always being so wonderfully helpful.

I am about to purchase a Britax Frontier 85 for my 3.5 year old daughter and have been searching for the best price. The Onyx and Rushmore seats are both available at Amazon for 212.29 plus tax (total about $231). (Has anyone seen a better price?)

Which seat cover would you recommend? The colors look the same, I guess it's whether I want the velour or not.

I would go with the Onyx-- it's kind of a woven material. The Rushmore is mesh (except for the front of the base) and I just can't believe the mesh would wear very well. We do have a spare cover that is mesh thanks to a nice momma here but our primary cover is the Maui Blue.

I actually dislike the onyx fabric (sorry PP!). I find it too rough. It's the back-up cover for our cowmoo boulevard. We had a mesh fabric in our old frontier (canyon) and i much preferred that. Our current frontier has a cowmoo cover which is my fave -totally worth any extra $.
