So my DS, who loves doodling, managed to draw on both sides of his new easel with some crayons (not the dry erase kind). How do I get crayon marks off of dry erase board and chalk board surfaces?? It's my fault, really, for presuming that he will know to only draw on paper that was clipped to the easel....

Thanks!!

I take it he is feeling better then??

I think goo be gone works on crayon but it is super strong so if you don't get any other ideas and decide to use it I would recommend moving the easel outside or into a well ventilated area.

This is a trick that works on the dry erase board in my classroom. Go over the crayon with a dry erase marker and then you should just be able to erase with a rag or eraser. I have been able to get both crayons and non dry erase markers off this way, including Sharpie. I haven't needed to do it in awhile so I assume it still works. HTH

Mr. Clean magic erasers work really well for this kind of stuff

So glad you asked this question, as I have crayon marks on a chalk board that I need to get off.

I used windex to get crayon off of our dry erase board.

thank you so much everyone--will try out the Windex and/or Magic Eraser suggestion later on today. And yes, Beth24--he is feeling much better, thank you for asking :) All healthy now and getting into everything.
