Can someone please recommend a comfortable, traditional black pump? I need one that will be comfortable all day even if I will be walking around some. Thanks!

The ones I have aren't traditional but they are Soft (Sofft? Softt?) so I bet they have traditional offerings as well. So comfy!!!

Under $125.

The best ones I ever wore were Nordstrom's house brand - butter-smooth leather, a heel, but not super-high, and very cushy.

I threw them out (!) after graduating from high school because I was young and did foolish things like that ... *sigh*

They were my concert shoes. Seriously the BEST pair of black pumps I've ever owned.

The worst part? They don't seem to make them anymore. :crying:

Currently, I wear Clarks and they're good, but not as good as those Nordies!

I agree that Sofft is a good brand worth trying, as is Naturalizer.

If you have a DSW near you, go there and look for any of the Cole Haan black pumps with the Nike Air technology. The last time I was at DSW, they had some black Air pumps (don't remember exactly which one) for around $125. They might have been $130 or $135, but I'd go see if I could find those, because in terms of comfort and quality, you're not likely to do any better. I do have some Sofft shoes that I love, but they're not a traditional black pump.

If you want a low heel, these seem to be a good bet given the reviews:

if you want a bit of a higher heel, I would go for these:

Ooh, I love those CK kitten heel pumps that Arivecchi posted. Cute!

my knees are horrid and I have an awful time wearing most pumps (even with copious amounts of padding) but find the Calvin Klein Dolly style to be wonderful. THey come in a variety of colors.

I also thought the Cole Haan airs would be good. They always look really nice and well made.

I like these models (some are less traditional)....
Which do you all think would be most comfortable?

I think you probably can't go wrong with any of them, just depends on which one fits you best:

I've been happy with every pair of Soffts I've had.

I had a pair of softwalk loafers that were super comfy, but quickly stretched out and were too wide, but I have a problem stepping out of shoes with having a reg. width foot, but narrow heel.

I haven't tried the CH Airs, but am just waiting for an excuse to buy a pair :)

I'm not positive, but the Soffts you linked to only show up in navy patent and a metallic patent-- not black. I much prefer the CH Talia and the Soffts to the Softspots. I think the heel on the Softspots is a bit dowdy.

I prefer the CH ones. I think they look more refined.

I love Ivanka Trump pumps (http://m.nordstrom.com/Product/Details/3303535?categoryid=null), I was nervous because of the pointy toe, but there is still a lot of room in the toe box, and I have a wide foot, and usually have issues with pumps. They were $129 including tax. I can't wait to get more:)

Another vote for Ivanka Trump pumps from Nordstrom. I got black leather (not patent) ones for about $100. They were surprisingly really comfortable. And if they weren't, Nordstrom has the best shoe return policy!

Those look awesome! I would never try them because I have a wide foot as well. I am going to have to try them. I would totally get these!

Annie, we seem to have the same kind of feet, so when the Ivankas came up while I searched the Nordie's site, I was skeptical.

Do you think you'd be able to stand in them for a couple of hours? (I'm pre-shopping for new concert shoes because my Clarks aren't cutting it.)

Jai, I think the CH pumps are a much more classic style that you would get more use out of. The Ivanka pumps are very nice as well. The others to too trendy, IMO.

I own several CH Nike Air pumps and they really are all that!!

Another vote for Cole Haan Air. How about a pair like these for the summer?

I thought I would revive with my update on my black pump search, even though I am not the OP. These are awesome for my very fussy feet. You would never know the heel is that high. Thank you!
