Does anyone have this bed? If so, do you like it?

How long would a kid probably be into a bunk bed? DS is 5.

I saw that bed in the magazine and just adore it. It is so beautiful. I have no experience with it, but just wanted to say that it is gorgeous.

OMG, this is so cute. I'm so glad you posted it, because I'm so stealing your idea for DS. I really want something like it for DS's new room after we move (he'll be 4). It's too tall for our future house, but DH said he'd try to build something like it that would work with our ceiling height. You have such good taste.

ETA: forgot to answer your question. My guess would be that 3rd graders would still think that's pretty cool. 4th, I'm not sure. Could you pass it onto DS2?

Glad you like it! I was indeed thinking of passing it on to DS2 if we get it.

DH and I were just talking about beds for DS last night!
He wants to do something similar to this pottery barn bed, but make it himself. I am not convinced yet that it's the best thing, but I do think it looks really cool.
DH likes the idea of having the room underneath for a desk as DS's room is small.

It's awesome, and my 4th grader (9 years old) would love it.

But...how the heck do you change the sheets??!

That is so awesome. I kinda want it for myself hehe ;)

As far as the sheets, you could do quickzip sheets (http://www.cloudsandstars.com/quickziptwinsheets.aspx), you'd still have to crawl up there, but it would be a lot easier. Your ds could probably even do it himself once you showed him how...

Elektra, there are lots of plans for loft beds on Ana White (http://ana-white.com/search?keys=loft+bed) if your dh is really handy enough to make one...

Still debating this! So cool but so pricey! Fort bed or rainbow playset. Thoughts?

PLAYSET!!!! Just get him some sheets that he likes to go on a bed that will grow with him. He'll totally appreciate the playset more!

I just kept thinking about a Christmas gift with nice underwear and socks vs. a video game cartridge. Which would you want?

Tell us where you found the sale on boxed sets!
