DD is almost 9 mo old and uses the paci to soothe herself to sleep. With it she sleeps from 10 to 7 but sometimes wakes up and I'll put the paci back in her mouth. I heard the longer I wait the harder it is to wean.

How do I wean her and get her to self soothe without it? She's currently sleeping in our room and I'm hoping to move her to my 3 yr old dd room.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

At 9 months, I would just go cold turkey. Or take it away for naps, and then move on to nights.

Personally, I did not want to fight this battle. Sleep was too precious and still is. I have just accepted that he will have a paci until I can reason with him at some later age and take it away or "lose it".

Yeah, that was not a battle I was willing to fight either. I just started putting several pacis in the crib with DD at that age, and she was typically able to find one of them.
