We just returned from vacation in Williamsburg & wanted to share the discount ticket info I found.

You can get a free child's (3-9 yrs) ticket when you buy an adult ticket using code BGWwendys (from Wendy's) or BGWPAMPERS (from Pampers). This is a one day ticket & it expires May 20, 2012.

Enter the promo code (top of BGW webpage) BEFORE you choose your tickets. Also, the Pampers promo is on their Gifts to Grow webpage.

Thank you for posting this. I was trying to think of a special little trip for the boys since DS1 tracks out next week and we haven't really planned anything. I think we will try to take a daytrip to Williamsburg.

If going to Williamburg for the history aspect, how many days do you think you need?

If going to Williamburg for the history aspect, how many days do you think you need?

It depends on how many places you want to go:

Colonial Williamsburg & surrounding shops - 1 day.
Yorktown (visitors center & battlefield) - 1 day, if you go & get out at all the battlefield stops.
Jamestown settlement - 1/2 day, maybe less.

There are also the museums (army transportation, mariners, etc) & aquarium in Newport News/Norfolk.

Lots to do in the area!
