my daughter does not like playing with toys, at all. She loves getting into her brother's tiny legos. Any ideas for great toys for this age? I'm a bit desperate!

We had the same problem so we got Magnatiles so they both can play. My dd also likes that fisher price picnic shape sorter.

This was a huge favorite of my DD's last year.

She also loved this - B. Toys "Zany Zoo" Activity Cube:

FWIW, she still plays with it from time to time at 2 yrs old, so if the price tag is a bit scary, keep that in mind.

At 12 months, my DD was really into pull toys, musical instruments (especially shake eggs), and any kind of receptical where she could take things out and put things back in.

She was also really into books and continues to want to be read to quite a bit so we had a ton of board books. She loved the ones that were interactive (peek-a-boo books)

How could I forget???

We got a bunch of Melissa & Doug brand "spill & fill" playsets. At various times, her favorites were the bug jar, (http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Fill-Spill/dp/B000NV6BZY/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1334154127&sr=1-2) fishbowl (http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Fishbowl-Spill/dp/B000NV6BZE/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1334154127&sr=1-1) and mailbox (http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Mailbox-Fill-Spill/dp/B00146I2ZY/ref=sr_1_8?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1334154127&sr=1-8). (FWIW, the price of the mailbox one in this link is pretty high. It wasn't that much when I put it on DD's WishList.)

My mom also bought her a set of baby silks: http://www.magiccabin.com/baby-silks_p1528.html
