Okay, I know that these aren't exactly high fashion, but I am looking for a pair of mary jane style sneakers. I need something that I can comfortably wear while running after DD1 but that is still cool and comfy for the summer. Anyone have a pair that they love that they would recommend? TIA!

I love my Merrels, they are very old and don't have that style any more but if you search on Zappos they still have a few styles.

These are not exactly mary janes, but have are mary jane-ish:

They are very comfy!! I have a problem with most sneakery/flats in that they either dig into the back of my heel cut my feet up, or they slip off the back of my heels and cause blisters. The straps on the back eliminate those problems. The footbed is very squishy and has decent arch support. I am very happy with them so far. I am usually an 8-8.5 and the 8 was a much better fit for me. And I got them at DSW so they were a little cheaper than Zappos.

HTH!

I have had a number of mary jane sneakers from Land's End that were cute and comfy, but looked pretty ragged after a summer of hard wear. (Good thing I never paid more than $20!)

My Clarks (Privo I think) have held up much better. A year later they still look great and even MORE comfortable, so worth the premium (more like $60-$70 at the outlet).

FYI I saw these (or something very similar, same brand) at Costco today for $40. Came in all black or light grey/pink trim.

Do you like Keens styles at at ll? These caught my eve in the Sundance catalog though I think I personally cannot pull off a Mary Jane (I'm too short to pull off noticeable straps).

Here are some similar styles; it looks like the Sundance style is called Harvest and appears near the bottom of the page, though there are several other cute ones:

I am very, very happy with the ones I bought from Lands' End about 2 years ago. Durable, comfortable and relatively attractive.

I'm going to look for those!

Can anyone comment on the comfort of that particular brand (J-41)? They are pricey and wondering if they worth it.

These are almost identical to ones I have from a few years ago and still love:

They are very comfy, and I have picky feet! Unfortunately I did was not lucky enough to find them at Costco, but my Costco never gets anything good, and they are comfortable enough that they were worth the extra $$ (to me).

Thanks for the feedback...Dh is at Costco and I had him check - they have them so I'm on my way to try them on. :love-retry:

Hoping they feel comfy!!
