Although DD2 is too young to have a "formal diagnosis" of Verbal Apraxia, we have been using "touch queues" to help her form sounds needed for speech. (Thouching throat for letters C and G, pushing up on bottom lip for M, ect.) I am looking for a good chart for touch queues to laminate and have in our kitchen, for DH and other family members to reference.

I cannot find a anything that shows the different touch queues and sounds. Does anyone know of a diagram that I can print out?

Thanks!

I don't have a specific answer for you, but search the www.geekSLP.com site. There might be tool there for you, or if you don't get what you need, maybe email her? The site author is a speech lang. pathologist.

From what I've seen observing speech therapists this semester (back in school to be a SLP) different SLPs can have slightly different gesture cues. I would also ask your SLP what gesture cues she is using so you use the same ones to prevent confusion

Here are a couple of videos I found.

Does you SLP use PROMPT or another technique? I have yet to find a source for all the PROMPT cues.

This is the best source I have found.

I came across this the other day and thought it might be of interest to you:

17 Apraxia Resources for Concerned Parents (http://blog.friendshipcircle.org/2012/05/21/17-apraxia-resources-for-concerned-parents/)

DS has global apraxia/dyspraxia as a feature of his autism; his affects his gross motor, fine motor, and oral-motor skills. It can be really difficult to find good info on apraxia.

Thank you everyone! YES! PROMPT is what we use. I found a S&L and OT center near me that offers PROMPT educational nights for parents. The next time one comes up, I am going!

Thanks for the links too!
