Quick: what's the deal with puke on car seat straps?

I know i can't use any sort of cleanser or detergent. Can I at least put the seat in the sun? we got him out right away , so it's fresh. I threw the cover in teh wash. I undid most of the straps but can not get them completely off of the seat (newer snugride and they loop through the bottom and I can't get them off).

do I put the whole thing in the sun? Or do I just keep using a warm washcloth along the strap? I want to get it done while it's still "fresh"

I soaked mine with Natures Miracle and put it in the sun.

NO. Just a damp cloth, and sun is great.

I had second thoughts too.....it's out in the sun without anything on it!
