...it might mean they are preparing to remodel their Marketplace section (the downstairs in most IKEAs).
The last few times at IKEA I have had no luck finding a few items that I need/want. I finally asked a worker about one of the items, and she explained that they have suspended reorders on most of their Marketplace products because they will begin remodeling the day after Mother's Day. She said instead of the 20 000 products they usually offer, they will be down to 1000. The remodel will last 8-10 weeks, and according to her, "You don't want to be here when it's going on!"
So now I'm checking online inventory for items we use, and if the supply looks low, I'm going back to grab a few extras in case they disappear during the remodel.
