I know there have been a lot of complaints about the lack of decent coffee at Disney. I just saw that Starbucks will be opening in Disney Resorts soon. Disneyland will get the first ones.

The coffee was really bad when we were in DL. We actually brought the little Starbucks packets to have in our room in the morning!

Yet another reason go back. :D

oh my goodness- when we were at florida in january i definitely complained at MK about the coffee in general... i was actually not complaining about what i got at the time (i was near the teacups and they were putting ACTUAL half&half in my coffee.. .i'm pretty sure what they had in the "cream" machine at AKL was NOT half & half though they told me it was...it tasted sweet?), but about the coffee at the resort in general :( bleck.

starbucks is a step up :) (if i'd known about the cream issue i wouldhave had DH get some when we stopped on the way at publics.... *sigh*)

I'm so happy. :) Apparently it will just be one in each park, but just the CHANCE of getting good coffee makes me happy.

I read this yesterday here and then DH emailed me the link today. So clearly we will be happy on our upcoming trip to DL. Although I do wish it was Pete's instead of Starbucks, at least in California Adventure that would make sense. :wink2:

Can anyone confirm that the HoJo at Disneyland has Keurig's in the room? Smiles33? You around?

Completely agree. We had to walk halfway through Downtown Disney to pay for a cup of slightly overpriced Peet's Coffee, but it was good.

Right now closer to the main gate there is a Starbucks Coffee Cart outside of the La Brea Bakery Cafe (which is being renovated so it looks like it is sit down only; I think they have a walk up counter normally; we usually don't get coffee or eat at DL). I missed it when we were looking for our coffee orginally, it would have saved us a bit of a walk, but overall the Peet's was worth the price.

Compared to current offering Nescafé? It's good. :) I've never understood how Nescafé had such a lock on the coffee service, it's disgusting.

starbucks is DEFINITELY an improvement over nescafe.... i wish i would have known that was what was offered-- i would have brought a pack of Via. gross.gross!

And it's been Nescafé ever since I started drinking coffee I think! I think the Nescafé people must have had compromising pictures of Snow White...

The lack of good coffee tipped the balance to staying off site versus on site - really. This is great!

OK, maybe I am weird. I brought my own coffee, thinking we would hate the coffee at WDW, since I had heard so many ppl complaining about it. However, I actually thought that the coffee (not nescafe) in our hotel room for the coffee maker was decent.

How I wish I'd known to bring my own Via before our trip. The coffee sucked and when you are moving three boys along trying to make rope drop each day, good coffee would have helped!
They need waaaay more than one at each park - like two at each park, and for SB to be their brand of choice overall. Honestly, if they had kept the icky stuff on the dining plan and I had to pay seperately for SB, I would have. Bad coffee is just so BAD.

Yes, HoJo has Keurig machines and restocked every night so we had 4 K-cups/day!

Yay, thanks! Not a huge Kuerig fan but that will be great for this trip.

BTW we booked a Kids suite for Sept. hoping to get the retro rate, if I see our dates come up. I also have a room on points held at the Sheraton Park but the Hojo just seems so much more kid friendly.
