17-month old DD is at the stage where she loves to push things around and she's a stable walker now. She will push boxes, chair, I mean...everything she can push. She already has playskool walk and ride and radioflyer wagon. She still loves playing with those two now.

The playskool seems to tip over to the side when she pushed to fast almost to the point of running. Radioflyer seems great for her when she just started learning to stand up and walk, but it's a bit harder for her to turn now, so I ended up always have to turn it for her or she will just run into everything. She will try to back up a bit when she's stuck, but still a bit harder for her to turn it. She was playing with shopping cart and vacuum cleaner at the day care and seemed to really having with them.

So, I'm thinking of getting either shopping cart or vacuum cleaner, or both ? ouchh! I'm trying not to buy too much now ;b I have no clue which one to buy though. Look through some stuff at amazon and saw these:

Step2 Helper's grocery cart (pretty good review). Anyone has this? or any recommendation on other grocery cart ?

Not so good review on this vacuum cleaner it seems like:

I'd appreciate other ideas on what I should get her as well besides shopping cart or vacuum. Thank you.

Shopping carts and toy vacuums are both plentiful and cheap everywhere at garage sales in our area. You may want to check in your area. We don't have a toy vacuum but my child seemed to love them all equally when visiting friends. I think we have a little tykescart but the brand didn't seem to matter much when I researched them.

You might also look at toy lawnmowers or wheelbarrows for outside. This is also a great age for wheely bugs, doll strollers and similar toys.

My parents gave DD this M&D shopping cart when she was 2 and she still loves it and plays with it all the time. I have to admit there was a period I was afraid she might end up a bag lady because she would have the oddest collection of things in her cart but she's better now ;) My brother gave DS a "Dyson" toy vacuum when he was about that age and he loved it but his fisher price ball popper was just as popular.

ETA: A doll stroller would also be a good choice. http://www.amazon.com/Maclaren-Stroller-Dandelion-Junior-Quest/dp/B002L1KVAA/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1335328217&sr=1-1

$25 is a steal for this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RLHCVU/ref=asc_df_B002RLHCVU1988997?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B002RLHCVU&hvpos=1o2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=67400210512561873&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=

I think we a Melissa & Doug Shopping Cart. got it years ago at Costco for steal. I think $40 or less and it came loaded w/all the fake food. it's awesome and still looks brand new.

The classic Fisher-Price corn popper is a big hit in our house, and it is cute because almost everyone who comes to our house says "I had one of those when I was little"

Sorry I'm clueless with links but DS loves the Fisher Price musical push toy, it's yellow with animals and he loves using it when I vacuum. I was debating between it and the popper one but a lot of Amazon reviewers didn't like the noise of the popper.

Have you seen the wooden animal push toys? DS fell in love with a yellow duck push toy and I've seen lots of different animal versions.

He also loves the Fisher Price alligator pull toy that opens to feed it blocks. Dragged it around a lot at that age and now loves feeding it.

Thank you for the suggestions everyone.

I've seen one of those and I'm actually thinking about getting one for her too. Her cousin has one and she likes to play with that too.

We have that shopping cart. My son will be 4 in June and he still plays with it all the time. He used to only keep his playfood in there but now he's always shopping for toys and clothes and asking me how much things cost.
