We are unexpectedly redoing our basement (it is mostly finished already with some unfinished storage areas) due to significant water damage a few days ago We have the opportunity to change things (flooring, paint color, shelving, layout, electrical etc) if we wish. It is a little overwhelming to decide what to do or not do so quickly - they are currently starting to write a proposal and are hoping to start construction next week provided the dryout process is complete by then.
Anything suggestions for a basement redo or things about your finished basement (or unfinished storage areas) that you love or hate? We are trying to think long term since we plan to stay in this house and hope we won't have to do this again! Thanks!
